MCD SALON is a new collective that curates experiences  for those developing their taste for art, design and craft.

These experiences are "amuse bouches" within the realms of (but not limited to) art, food, interior design, graphic design, architecture, landscaping and jewelry.

We bring together and inspire like-minded individuals in San Francisco to create a dialogue on craft and design's importance in the world today. Each “art appreciator" brings their own perspectives through exposure and expression.

We share the Museum of Craft and Design's core mission: to disrupt the convention of what art is by surrounding its members with inspiring examples of craft and design and engaging in conversations around art. We "bring together a robust community of art admirers crafting a road-map for the future of creative expression where ideas and thought leaders matter." The founding of The Salon was lead by MCD Executive Director, JoAnn Edwards, who feels engaging the  young, creative community is essential to ensuring the future of art, design and craft.
